Rye...grain

this rye.  Will grow in cooler weather you can get a early crop of it.   Has been known to grow six feet tall great for grazing or baleing.   But    most organic vegetable growers use it as a weed inhibitor so there transplants are not uver taken.  

    Rye emits something from there roots that causes weed seeds not to germinate  you will have about a three week window to help get your transplants off to a great start
