Maturity date: 90 days
This rutabaga has been around for a few hundred years. We proudly offer Heirloom, Non-GMO seed. Grow these like you would a turnip and they will hold up in the garden well and store for months. Rutabagas have a better flavor than turnips, and we recommend not letting them get bigger than a softball. Most places they go in early summer, but in zones 7b and higher these will do great as a fall crop. Happy growing!
These will field hold. Until your ready for them if you cut the tops off
Plant early plant often
The American Purple Top Rutabaga is evocative, to say the least, but that's why you're drawn to it in the first place.
