The Black Futsu is a very rare, Japanese Heirloom, winter squash. Some folks call it a pumpkin because of its shape. But, it's a winter squash that has a unique taste. It is one of the best ones for a fall display! In northern climates we recommend transplanting. These take about 100 days to mature; they will start out as a green and fully ripen to a black. This Heirloom variety is a great addition to anybody's line up! Happy growing!!!
this variety is a average on storage.
Will do great at the markets
The Black Futsu is evocative, to say the least, but that's why you're drawn to it in the first place.
