The Black Futsu is a very rare, Japanese Heirloom, winter squash. Some folks call it a pumpkin because of its shape. But, it's a winter squash that has a unique taste. It is one of the best ones for a fall display! In northern climates we recommend transplanting. These take about 100 days to mature; they will start out as a green and fully ripen to a black.
