Ukrainian Purple Heirloom tomatoes are about 75 days from transplanting. In the north this Heirloom tomato is an indeterminate--so you will be picking until fall. They ripen to a deep purple on the shoulders and have a deep red on the rest of them. This variety is a Roma plum type. Since it dates back a few hundred years to Russia, this is great news to our northern gardener friends who will have no trouble growing this. The only way to get great tomatoes like this is to buy tomato seeds online. Happy growing!!!
Plant early plant often
The Ukrainian Purple Heirloom Tomato is evocative, to say the least, but that's why you're drawn to it in the first place.
