Leeks

The leek is a vegetable--a cultivar of Allium ampeloprasum, the broadleaf wild leek. The edible part of the plant is a bundle of leaf sheaths called a stem or stalk. Our packs have around 200 seeds and around 9000 per ounce. This variety is very cold tolerant. I mean, we had over 5 below zero winter cold snaps, and they were still standing tall! You should start seeds in August for early summer harvest; this is one that you should start seeds every month. It's a great candidate for blanket seeding in raised beds, and they transplant well. Happy growing!!!

Leeks in general take awhile to grow.  But worth the wait

We highly recommend that you plant in succession so you have a harvest just right around the corner all the time.

All the leek seeds we carry are heirloom open pollinated non GMO.    Which means they are true not hybrid junk

We have a larger variety that grows huge leeks and we have the standard table size

Great addition to any line up
