Danvers Carrot Heirloom

The maturity date is 70 days for these Heirloom carrots. Crisp, rich orange, conical-shaped roots that grow to 1.5 inches at the top and taper 6-7 inches to a pointed bottom. They have a high fiber content and are cold tolerant favorites. Can be used in succession planting, and should be replanted every 2 or 3 weeks for most of the year. Sort of a must have for your CSA shares and farmers market tables. The Danvers is an Heirloom variety and Non-GMO; you can save the seeds from it. If you want to can or put in the freezer, plant at the end of June and let them grow.  You can mulch or put straw before the first hard freeze and field hold them until you;re ready to use them.
