Long Green Improved Cucumber Seed

Hello all! This is a very old Heirloom cucumber that takes about 65 days to start picking. They grow long and slender, sort of like an English cucumber. Grow the Long Green Improved as you would any cucumber. As with all cucumbers, they do not like to transplanted so be very gentle with their roots. These are main season vegetables and are not cold tolerant. Also will make great hanging pots. We carry packs as well as bulk garden seed. The Long Green Improved cucumber seed is one of the most productive of all the Heirloom slicer cucumbers. They won't get bitter--maybe one out of one hundred will be bitter at the ends when it's left on the vines too long. To our farmers market friends, these will make a solid choice for your normal cucumbers. Since they are smooth, they will make great munchers if picked when small. As with all our seeds, these are Non-GMO and open- pollinated. The Long Green Improved cucumber will grow smooth and be a nice green, dark green color about six to ten inches. Perfect for round slices and pickle chips! Happy growing!!!

   Here's a growing tips and ideas

   1st. Cucumbers do not like to be transplanted

  So if you do want to get a early start  use pear or pulp pots so the roots are not disturb.    

    So plant you seeds about. 1/2 inch to 1 inch down

   About. 1 foot apart.  

    Cucumbers are vineing  plants. So put lots of room between the  rows or give them  something to climb on.    Make sure they have plenty of water.   When the Cucumbers are  forming.  If you grow this variety  in a greenhouse. You will have to hand pollinate.  Or leave the doors open in the day so insects can. Come in and pollinate    and. For maximum production  keep them picked
